Driving to the east side from Huaraz. Around 1 hour up to Pitec over 3800m place where trek starts steep goin up about 3 hours aprox.
In the way we could appreciate a small river which comes from the lake churup and a nice scenery surrounded by white peaks and mountains from cordillera negra after a couple of hours climbing up we reach up to the lake churup over 4450m where we spend taking photos, eating and enjoying the fresh air, then we descend by same way, down to pitec around 2 hours and drive back to huaraz.
